Orthodontic Treatment - Torrance, CA

Correcting Smiles to Last

At Blue Coast Dental Group, you have one clear choice for orthodontic treatment in Torrance, CA: Invisalign®. Dr. Sanaz Hamzehpour is a certified provider for this orthodontic system that uses clear plastic aligners to move your teeth into the proper alignment. As such, it provides multiple advantages over traditional braces that use metal brackets and wires to adjust your smile.

First and most obviously is that Invisalign clear aligners are practically invisible. The Invisalign system uses a type of plastic that is clear and smooth, so they are completely discreet. Of course, when you are up close and personal, they may be noticeable. But, at a distance—like when you’re in a meeting, in class or giving a presentation—they do not interfere with your professional appearance.

Next, clear braces from Invisalign are also removable. This offers two distinct advantages over traditional braces. When you want to have breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a healthy snack in between, just take out your aligners and eat whatever you like. Of course, traditional braces are not removable, and they can break if you eat the wrong foods—hard candy, raw carrots, ice cubes, popcorn kernels, and the like. Not so with Invisalign!

In addition, this orthodontic system makes your at-home oral hygiene care easier and more effective. You can just remove your aligners and brush and floss as you normally do. Unfortunately, the metal brackets and wires of traditional braces make cleaning the teeth more challenging, and some patients end up with oral and dental health problems as a result.

When you come in for an Invisalign treatment, we’ll start by taking an impression of your teeth that we’ll use to customize your treatment plan. This will then be sent to an Invisalign lab to design your series of aligners. This will ensure that they not only fit comfortably, but that they help shift your teeth in the most efficient way possible. After wearing each aligner in the series for about 22 hours a day for 2 weeks, your smile should be perfectly straight.
